Replacing Logs and Restoring the Exterior of the Bell Cabin 2008

and stored them over winter in his barn to begin to season. He then brought them to Clare and set them out in the yard, ready to be selected and worked as needed. In order to move them, he used a crane which was powered by a couple of car batteries. With this, he was able to maneuver the logs with some ease. This was very important as it was necessary to work a log, set it in place, then remove it again to be worked some more until the newly hewn log fit exactly as he wanted. |
