Note that the "story" over Terry Bemis' name probably tells of the
experience of Iris Meltzer!! She writes:
"I could be mistaken, but I think that the "story" over Terry Bemis'
name
was really written by me. (Terry was a boy who spent a very few
years
in our class.) Since I remember getting a ginger doll about then
and no
boy in 1961 would have admitted playing with dolls, I suspect the paper
made an error."
