Recollections of College El

Recollections: All the student teachers! camp, Grindstone City, napping on rugs in Kdgn; Miss Preager who only smiled when she was angry; Mr. Carlson and Anson who were my first ever male teachers. Art class in a "sheepshed" located directly behind the "elementary school"; swimming in the pool in the basement of a building. Junior Hi in the sheepsheds behind the art building. Thelma Marshall cleaning out her ears with anything in sight, hitching up her bra straps and calling me Nanabelle.

Personal News

Father, George Lauer, deceased in 1992; mom still living in Mt. Pleasant with 24 hour care in her home. My Spouse, Jim - married in 1965 (35 years) - was in College administration and is now retired. I have one child, Jeff, age 30; he works for the Michigan Dental Association Insurance and Financial Group; one daughter inlaw, and a 2 year old grandson, Justin.
